Visitor notes
Privacy
Most of what you save on Rewind stays in your browser.
On your device
Rewind uses browser storage for your saved moments, game progress, quiz results, desktop text files, guestbook note, and the choice to skip the opening on later visits. The guestbook is a private simulation; other visitors cannot read it. You can clear this data in your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing it resets your progress.
When media loads
Photographs and videos load from outside hosts, including Wikimedia Commons, YouTube, the Internet Archive, NASA, and the Library of Congress. Opening an embed or source link lets that host receive your browser request and apply its own privacy practices. Rewind also runs on a hosting provider that may process standard request logs for delivery and security.
