About Rewind
An archive to lose an afternoon in, made by Cory Hepler.
Why it exists
Rewind is for the old commercials, songs, games, magazines, school mornings, and cultural moments that come up when friends start remembering together. Cory was born in 1994; the 1990s and early 2000s are a personal starting point, while the archive reaches from the 1950s through the 2010s.
How it is built
Editorial timelines link to named sources. Photographs carry a date, creator, rights label, and source page. A context photograph may be from a different year than the event beside it; its date is shown on the card. Videos play through their named hosts, including third-party uploaders, whose rights and availability Rewind does not control. Original games and interactive rooms are made for this site; historical works and outside projects have their own credits.
Corrections welcome
Archive labels are a continuing editorial job. If a date, license, or attribution is wrong, email Cory through the contact page. Rewind may remove an item while a rights or accuracy question is checked.
